I favolosi anni 60, un decennio denso di eventi importanti, iniziano con le Olimpiadi a Roma e proseguono con i primi voli spaziali fino al primo uomo sulla luna nel 1969, passando per la morte di Marilyn Monroe, l’assassinio di John Kennedy, Malcom X, Martin Luter King e Che Guevara, i successi dei Beatles, la prigione di Nelson Mandela, la minigonna di Mary Quant, il Concilio Vaticano II, il primo personal computer della Olivetti, il traforo del Monte Bianco, il libretto Rosso di Mao, la guerra del Vietnam, Indira Ghandi primo ministro indiano, Firenze allagata, la carestia in Biafra, gli hippy, il Sessantotto, il Maggio francese, la sinistra extraparlamentare, Jan Palach, Gheddafi, il Boing 747, il Concorde, Woodstock e tanto altro.
I favolosi anni 60 sono anche quelli che compio il prossimo 7 febbraio. Si, sessanta favolosi anni di sfide, successi, cadute e risalite di cui sono grata e felice. Per celebrarli è nato questo progetto di Mail Art, una chiamata all’artista che è in te.
In cosa consiste?
- Lasciati ispirare da “I favolosi anni 60“, o da “I favolosi 60 anni di età” o tutte e due insieme;
- Crea una cartolina (formato A6 – 10,5 x 15 cm) con la tecnica che preferisci: disegno, pittura, collage, poesia ….
- Spedisci la cartolina a: Studio ProspettivaG – Via Taro 8A – 00199 Roma
Tutte le cartoline ricevute entro martedì 7 febbraio 2017 verranno pubblicate su questo sito ed esposte nella mostra “I favolosi anni 60” che si terrà domenica 12 febbraio 2017 presso lo Studio Prospettiva G.
Se scegli di scrivere una poesia con la tecnica del cut up o del caviardage il testo di riferimento è Il mondo di Jimmy Fontana (1965). Trovi qui il testo.
La partecipazione è gratuita. Le cartoline non verranno restituite. Non ci sarà nessuna giuria, né selezioni.

ENGLISH – The fabulous ‘60s – Call to mail artists
The fabulous ‘60s are a decade full of important events starting with Olympic Game in Rome and ending with the first man on the moon in 1969; in the middle death of Marilyn Monroe, the assassination of John Kennedy, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and Che Guevara, the successes of the Beatles, the prison of Nelson Mandela, the miniskirt Mary Quant, the Vatican Council II, the first personal computers for Olivetti, the Mont Blanc tunnel, the Red book of Mao, the Vietnam war, Indira Gandhi Indian prime Minister, flooded Florence, famine in Biafra, the hippies, sixty-eight, the French May and much more.
On February the 7th, I will reach myself the fabulous 60.
Yes indeed, 60 fabulous years full of challenges, successes, falls and rises which I am grateful and happy of. To celebrate them, this Mail Art project came up to my mind. This is a call to the artist inside of you. What is this about?
- Let yourself be inspired by the “Fabulous ‘60s” or by “being in your fabulous 60” or even by both.
- Make up a card (size A6 – 10,5 x 15cm) with the technique you prefer: drawing, painting, collage, poetry…
- Send your card to the following address: Studio ProspettivaG – Via Taro 8A – 00199 Rome – ITALY.
All the cards I will receive within Tuesday, February the 7th will be posted on this website and will be part of the exhibition “The fabulous 60’s” which will take place at the Studio Prospettiva G, on Sunday February the 12th.

Participation is free. The postcards will not be returned. There will be no jury, nor selections.
